Twitter Profits Part-19

How to Get Free Alerts on Updates in the Twitter Community

There are some tools that can tell you what’s going on all over Twitter, especially things that pertain to the business you are involved in. You will need to define some keywords beforehand and then these keywords are what is used to decide if there is something that’s up to your interest area.

One of the tools that could help you do that is Twollow, available at http://www.twollow.com/. This tool will give you immediate knowledge of how to send alerts to specific communities within the Twitter platform. This really makes our task simpler because at once you know about people who have the same interests as you have and you can communicate with them, which is what social networking is all about.

You do this by setting up certain keywords that pertain to your niche. Twollow will then find other people who have the same keywords described in their niche and will then show you the results. You can provide up to 5 keywords in the free version of Twollow, which are ample to cover almost every popular thing within most niches. However, if you take the paid version, you can put in up to 20 keywords.

Also, you can configure Twollow to add you as a follower every time someone references the keywords that you have chosen.

You can also use Google Alerts to get free notifications of activity based on certain keywords but configuring it especially for Twitter will need some added work.
